Science Fiction strikes again
Still in outer space
"It's life Jim"
A couple of my personal favourites
More abstract stuff
Slightly less abstract
This next section is the November 1999 Gallery,
created using MMFrac1.6 (and later).
These are mostly created with MMFrac1.4 and later.
Animal, Vegetable and Mineral
The following show off the "Cilia" colouring modes
Sci-Fi
Generally weird !
Somewhat less frenetic
Did you know there was a total eclipse
visible from Cornwall in August '99 ?
The following images were created using MMFrac1.2.
Science Fiction strikes again
Some technical examples
Animal Farm
Various assorted
The following images were created using early
versions of MMFrac, mostly version 0.8b.
The later ones were created with MMFrac Version 1.2
A collection of Atolls !
These were created from a "Julia lambda" polynomial
using "potential" colouring.
A couple of classics:
A "replica" Mandelbrot and a typical Julia set.
A fractal generator "Duz Wood Gud" !
"Good Wood" and "Autumn" were created using "iteration" colouring,
"Tree Pool" was produced using "potential" colouring.
A few using a single colour
These were created using a Mandelbrot polynomial fractal,
though I forget what degree of polynomials were used.
You can get very complex results with lower iteration counts using polynomials.
(This is fortunate as polynomials of degree >5 tend to be somewhat slower !)
A couple of interesting objects !
These flowers are Julia sets produced using an early version
of MMFrac with "in-colouring" set to "period", the periodicity checking
was not correct in that version of MMFrac, but the results were interesting.
These three images were produced by using a rather
silly Mandelbrot bailout condition.
ie. x*x/y >= infinity
I find the results rather amazing !
The following images were done with MMFrac version 1.0.
Done with MMFrac version 1.2:
Two more using MMFrac version 1.2
